His Holiness, Pope Francis (pictured above in one of the residence's chapels), today announced that he is to remain in residence in the Domus Sanctae Marthae (below). In doing so he will become the first Pontiff since Pope St Pius X (1903-1914) not to reside in the Apostolic Palace.
