Pope Innocent XII
His Eminence Antonio Maria Cardinal Pignatelli del Rastrello, Cardinal Priest of San Pancrazio, Archbishop of Naples. Elected Bishop of Rome on 12 July 1691 in the Vatican Apostolic Palace, taking the name Innocent XII. Pope Innocent XII died on 27 September 1700 in Rome, in the 10th year of his pontificate. He was buried on 1 October in the Patriarchal Vatican Basilica.
