New Archbishop of Westminster
His Holiness, Pope Benedict XVI, has appointed the Archbishop of Briminghan, the Most Rev. Vincent Nichols, to the Archbishopric of Westminster. Archbishop Nichols will succeed His Eminence Cardinal Cormac Murphy O'Connor.
